Two of my favourite things

These are two of my favourite things in the whole wide world:

And speaking of favourite things..... I've always kept a list of the kids funny / unique 'sayings' once they start talking. It's time for Shannon's turn. Miss Shannon is quite the talker. The girl can say just about anything you ask her to, and she knows just how to use her vocal talents to charm you....

So without further ado, here are some "Shannon-ism's":

Sawy..............Sorry (which is quickly followed by a hug and an adorable smile)
Ack ooo...........Thank you
Kin...............Quinn
Ay-den............Aidan
Me-mum............Marin
Gamps.............Gramps
Upie day..........Up
Me do it..........I do it (apparently this was something I said quite a bit as a child...)
Sou - Sou.........Sou - Sou or pacifier
Swinga............Swing
Petah-butter......Peanut Butter

There are more I'm sure but I can't think of them right now. I'll add them as they come to me!!

More of: Kids say the darndest things...

Today's gem:

The boys and I went to the park after we were at the library. I said to Aidan: "Boy, I wish I had gone to the bathroom before we left the library because I really have to go."

Aidan thinks for a minute and says: "Why don't you just pee on a tree Mummy?"

Priceless!!!

A camping we will go....

This past weekend we joined four other families and went camping. Well, camping Pace-James style that is! We went to a campground about 20 minutes away from home (close enough that if the weather was bad, or we forgot something we could come home easily), and 'camped' in a cabin which had a double bed and bunk beds.

The weather cooperated beautifully, as we had sunny days with no humidity and a bit of a breeze for both Saturday and Sunday. The campground put on a pretty impressive fireworks display on Saturday night, which both Quinn and Aidan managed to stay up for.

We had a fantastic time, and the kids are already asking when we can go back (although I'm not sure Chris would survive a second trip!)

Here are some pictures:
Around the kiddie campfire (an imaginary campfire they made, and they then proceeded to stuff themselves with popcorn):
