We had a fantastic weekend! Saturday was beautiful and sunny, so we headed off to the Detroit zoo. Unfortunately the bridge was jam packed so we turned around and headed to Storybook Gardens in London instead. The kids had so much fun running around in the (dry) splash pad (who knew a dry splash pad would be so much fun?!?) and playing on the climbers. Then we headed to a bar for a late lunch and it was the perfect place because it had video games and an air hockey table which the kids loved!
Sunday was another gorgeous day, and we were outside by 9:45. The kids went to visit Brigitte and Mac who were just back from Hilton Head, and then w e spent the morning gardening, cleaning the cars and playing with the neighbours. Then my parents stopped in for a quick visit - of course the kids kept asking why Nanna and Nannu couldn't stay for longer.
Today is Shannon's 6 month birthday. I can't believe that she is SIX MONTHS OLD! Where has the time gone? She is such a joy for our family. She is quick to smile and her whole face just lights up whenever she sees you. We are so lucky to have been blessed with three healthy, happy, kids.
