The Mystique of Santa

With Christmas fast approaching (T-minus 9 days and counting you know!), Santa is EVERYWHERE.  It's interesting to see what the kids think about the jolly old elf:

Shannon is fully convinced that Santa is coming to our house for dinner. She keeps saying "Santa coming for dinner mummy!"  I'm not quite sure what to serve...... cookies and more cookies perhaps?

For Quinn, Santa serves one role:  that of bearer of presents.  Quinn wants to talk to every Santa he sees, and then he promptly informs him that he wants a compressor and a leaf blower (with a bag) for Christmas.  (Don't ask, the child also wants a REAL nail gun for Christmas!)

Aidan on the other hand is starting to get shifty with Santa.  The other day he asked me:  "Mummy, you're really Santa right?"  Talk about having to think fast on your feet!!!  The suspicious little shyte has also determined that he is going to set-up a video camera on Christmas Eve to tape Santa coming down the chimney.  Hmmm......

Marin only knows that Santa is quite scary, and clings tightly to Chris or I any time we see him.

We'll see how much things change over the next few days!
