The Christmas festivities have officially begun, and with them come a LOT of photos!
On Thursday night we packed up the kids and joined Mac & Brigitte for a city bus tour of the holiday lights. That's right, two things my kids adore: Christmas lights and a city bus. They've never actually been on a city bus, but it's an object of fascination for them, so to be able to ride the bus while we look at Christmas lights is sheer HEAVEN!!! The kids loved the bus ride, although it was a bit long as the whole thing took a solid hour.

The cutest babushka on the block:
Friday afternoon the kids and I were hanging out in the basement, and the boys decided that it would be fun to don the wizard costumes that my mom made for them, and then jump off the couch. (they called it skydiving)
Of course Shannon had to get dressed up - but I put a kibash on her 'skydiving':
I swear Aidan almost hit the ceiling:
Quinn in action:
Last night we had the James family Christmas celebration. Heidi, Robert and little Robert drove down and we had our usual feast and present openings. The kids had an absolute BLAST visiting and playing with each other, and once the presents were opened they each retired to their respective corners and got busy playing with their new toys.
The grown-ups also had tons of fun visiting and chatting, and eating waayyyyy too much of Brigitte's dinner and amazing 7 layer cake (which she made from scratch I might add!).
I mean seriously, the cuteness is ri-DIC-u-LOUS!!!
We call her "Cindy Lou Who":
Nana will celebrate her 90th birthday on Christmas Eve. Here she is with the great-grandkids:
