Well, our fantastic summer finally came to an end. Labour Day weekend was rather cool, blustery, and quite grey. It's as though Mother Nature has a cruel sense of humor by reminding us that ALL last summer was cool, blustery and grey, so we should definitely be grateful for a warm sunny summer this year!
The boys started school today - Aidan is going into grade 2, and Quinn is in Senior Kindergarten. Both were excited about the new year, but also a touch nervous, which is to be expected when starting from scratch each year. I must say, I'm sad to see them go. It's nice to get back into somewhat of a routine, but we had such a great summer I just didn't want it to end!
My second grader:
(damn sun - that's what you get when you have an easterly facing house - shadows on faces!!)
Our Senior Kindergartner:
Aidan going into his new classroom:
Quinn putting on his indoor shoes (which we discovered were too small. I swear we tried them on last week and he said they fit! Guess we'll be out shopping for new ones tonight!!)
So now we try to settle into the school week routine. Fall activities will soon be starting, and then the fun (and chaos!) really begins!

Best wishes for a great year! (Did I mention to you that I taught brothers names Aidan and Quinn, and the younger brother Quinn had red hair? I also love your boys names!)
