She woke up this morning, and while still bleary-eyed she had enough wherewithal to ask:" Mummy, can I have gum now?" Our deal for quite a while has been that when she turns three she can chew gum. While I didn't give it to her at 7:30 in the morning, I did let her have a piece after school. And boy did she love it! She told everyone she ran into: "I'm chewing GUM!!!" When she was done with it she ran up to me and said: "Mummy, I'm done with my gum - I throw it in the garbage now!!"
Her day was filled with treats, starting with a new hat from Auntie Heidi:
Then she had her first ever trip to the hairdresser. She was sooo..... excited!! She charmed everyone in the salon, and was giggling the whole time she got her hair cut.

Then it was time to open presents - very serious business this present opening!
Then it was time for the home made cake:
It's always more fun to celebrate with friends and family!

Happy birthday to your little sweetie! Three is such a great birthday--they finally "get" it and just burst with excitement!
