It started snowing on Tuesday night..... and it kept snowing, and snowing and snowing.
By Wednesday morning there was about 8 inches of the fluffy white stuff, and it was still coming down. Chris went to shovel the driveway, and by the time he was done it didn't look like he had shovelled anything.
But, a mental health day was in order anyways, so the kids and I had a great time at a friend's house and then back at our place.
Here's Aidan shovelling the rink - the snow was up to his knees!
Shannon was hangin' out on the pile of snow I shovelled after the plow went down the street.
Quinn was helping shovel the rink too (hence the helmet) - that's a lot of snow for such a little guy!
Just look at all the snow on top of the BBQ!
The poor little toy lawn mower got buried:
I had to include this video of Shannon. As I was shovelling the 'plow poop' (the mass quantities of snow a plow deposits at the end of the driveway), Shannon was hanging out keeping me company - which also meant she was skipping her nap for the day. Usually when she doesn't have a nap it means there are major melt-downs and freak-outs at bed time. So I made her a deal: she could skip the nap, if she promised not to have a freak-out. Here was her response (note the maniacal laughter at the end):
She only had a minor freak-out at bed-time last night. I guess that could be considered an improvement!!
