- We were reunited yet again with Mr. Gastrointestinal virus. This time he decided to visit Quinn, who woke up puking on Thursday night. I've never given Gravol when my kids were puking, but after seeing the dry-heaves that Aidan had, I gave it to Quinn after his fourth or fifth puke. It did the trick, and knocked him out for the night. The next day was spent recovering and lying on the couch, but by dinner time he was busy using the 'force' on people, and bugging his sisters. I took that as a sign of his recovery.
- Thankfully Quinn recovered quickly, because we headed to my sister's place on Saturday for a visit. So the kids got a much welcomed reunion with their cousins - and mayhem ensued. Here's a picture of Shannon and Sharra - the two were inseparable the entire time we were there!
- Saturday night I had a reunion with two of my housemates from university, Ann and Kara. Kara moved overseas right after she graduated, and then moved to Australia, so I haven't seen her in 15 years. Man, does that make me feel old! We had a fabulous time re-connecting and chatting, and I loved listening to Kara's lilting Aussie accent which she's picked up in her 8 years over there. Here are the three of us:
- The last reunion was probably the least welcome: a reunion with Old Man winter. Yep, our drive home yesterday was punctuated by blinding sleet and snow, and we woke up this morning to more snow. Thankfully it's melted already, but seriously, enough is enough. I've already put away the kids snow pants, hats and mittens, and I REFUSE to bring them out again. It's April bloody 18th for pity's sake! And yes, that means I'm giving Old Man winter the finger, while simultaneously sticking out my tongue and mooning him.
