We visited my parents last weekend, and had a great time wandering around Cincinnati, hanging out, and just enjoying ourselves.
Ever since my Dad's bypass, my parents have been on a mission to become more healthy. Part of this mission includes going to a gym everyday. I've told my mom that pretty soon she's going to be a 'ripped Nanna'!
Sooo.... before we went down they told me to bring the kids swimsuits because they were going to take us swimming at their new gym. And oh yeah.... the boys could go rock climbing too.
I was thinking it would be your standard issue pool, and a small rock climbing wall for the boys. Man, was I wrong.
This place was un.be.lievable.
Yeah. The small rock wall I was imagining? It had at least 10 runs and was amazing!
And that standard issue pool? Turned out to be a gi-normous leisure pool with two waterslides for the boys, a zero-level entry with spraying mushroom thingy for the girls, a separate 5 lane lap pool, and oh yeah, another ENORMOUS pool with two waterslides outside.
Then there was the gymnasium. It had two full-size basketball courts, and behind the courts was an almost full-sized indoor soccer field. Then there were the squash and raquetball courts, plus a MASSIVE child-minding centre complete with play-place, computers, toys etc.
And let's not forget that this is after all a gym, so there were a few excercise machines too...
Then there were the yoga and pilates studios, a spa, a cafe....
I wish I had something negative to say about the place. You know, like it was dirty, the staff was rude, etc. Alas, this place is heaven because absolutely everything was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the facilities were uh-MAZING!!!
Needless to say, when it was time to go the kids didn't want to leave. And quite frankly, neither did I.
That's it. I've decided. We're moving in!!
