It's time for another installment of: My Favourite Things.
2. The annual Christmas parade. Around here, they do the Christmas parade at night, which is a neat experience because my Christmas-light happy children get to see all the floats decked out in lights. This year the temperature was right around 5 degrees.....down right balmy for us!!

3. Pillsbury's "Tub o' cookies". I discovered these at Sam's Club a while back, and have to say.... I'm hooked. You put this sucker in the fridge, and if the kids are having a playdate and want some cookies.... VOILA!! 14 minutes later you have fresh, 'home-made' cookies. Everyone loves these cookies and they are just soooo.... easy and delicious! Just in time for the holiday season, they came out with Sugar Cookie dough - I've died and gone to sugary heaven!
4. Our adorable Elves, who sometimes but not always sit on a shelf. Elfie and Magical as they are known to the kids, mysteriously came back to our house on December 1st. The kids are thoroughly convinced that they are magical as every morning they are in a new place, despite the kids clutching them while asleep. They even found one Elf sitting on the toilet one morning. Tricky little suckers those elves.....
Anyhow..... one of my routines is putting on the Vince Guaraldi Trio's "A Charlie Brown Christmas," and listening to it while I decorate. It is (in my humble opinion) one of the best Christmas CDs out there, and tends to mellow this high-strung Momma out when putting up the decorations.
