Yep - yesterday was my birthday. I'm not ashamed to admit it - I'm a year older! It's not that I relish getting older, but I look ahead to all the years ahead of me and think: "Wow, wonder what's coming next?" It's kind of exciting if you think about it.
Anyhow, Chris cooked me a fabulous dinner of Pasta Carbonara with grilled foccacia bread and fresh tomatoes (fresh from our garden), salad, and wine. It was DELISH!!!! The boys kept jumping out in front of me saying: "Happy Birthday Mummy!" and even put on a puppet show for me.
Chris has been asking me what I want for my birthday, and my response is usually: "Nothing." I mean seriously, at this point in my life if I really want something, I go and get it myself! But, after thinking about things for a while I said: "You know what, if your mom could watch the kids on Friday night so we could have dinner out, that would be the best present of all."
Brigitte gladly agreed, so now Chris and I have a romantic dinner set for Friday night. I can't wait!
