This past weekend we joined forces with the McKenney family and hit the road. First we went to Great Lakes Crossing for some shopping. The deals weren't that great, but we still managed to find some good stuff. It's a great mall, and has a really amazing play area for the kids.
After shopping, we went to the hotel, which was an Embassy Suites. I can't say ENOUGH about how fabulous this hotel was. We had a true suite (ie. the bedroom was totally separate from the living room), and the hotel even had complimentary cocktails and snacks! The kids had a blast watching cartoons on the big screen TV in the lounge while running back and forth to the snack table. The grown ups had a great time just hanging out and enjoying the complimentary drinks!
The next day we hit Costco (what trip would be complete without the Costco pilgrimage?), and then we drove to Crossroads Village in Flint, MI. This was our second year doing their Halloween fest, and it was just as much fun as last year. The kids remembered every detail of the village, and absolutely LOVED getting dressed up and trick-or-treating. (Unfortunately this means we now have a full bowl of yummy Halloween candy - not good for the waistline!).
Here are some pictures of our little trick or treaters:
