Normally I love fall. I love the crisp, cool air, the crackling sounds the leaves make as you walk on them, and the sweet smell the air takes on. This year however, I've been dreading fall - but only because the summer was so crummy!! I wanted the warm weather to last for as long as possible.
Despite all my hopes for an prolonged summer, fall is definitely here. Even worse, it looks like it's going to have the same cold, wet characteristics that the summer had.
Yesterday after school it was relatively mild and dry out, so the kids and I were playing outside. Aidan insisted we rake the leaves into a big pile so that they could jump in them. (Seriously, the child asked: "Mummy, can you help me rake?") So we raked, and raked, and created a pretty good 'jumping pile' for the little monkeys.
If you can't beat the seasons, you may as well join them!!
In other news.....
Today Quinn and Shannon took part at a cooking class offered through our local Loblaws. I just had to snap some shots of the little cuties in their cooking hats and aprons:
