Christmas finery

Today the girls daycare had their Christmas party.  I actually pulled out the 'nicer' clothes for the girls, as they're usually running around in whatever they feel like pulling out of their drawers.  I even managed to get some nice pictures:

Shannon is figuring out the whole concept of 'posing':

My little ladies:

All four having a snack - I almost needed a wide-angle lens for this shot!

Love this one of Aidan & Marin:

Quinn couldn't get enough of Santa:

Now as a complete aside to all of this....

As I was unloading the boys bags from school today (it was the last day of school before the holidays) I was AMAZED at all the sugary-treats that came home with Quinn.  No less than four cookies (most of them iced or sugared), and around 3 or 4 bags FULL of candy.

Did I miss the memo?  Since when are they supposed to get as much candy at Christmas as they do at Halloween?

Not surprisingly, when I unloaded Quinn's lunchbox I was shocked to see that he only ate a total of 6 grapes, and drank his milk - out of his ENTIRE lunch.  Hmmm... wonder how many cookies and cupcakes he ate at school instead of his lunch?
