For the last couple of years (see previous posts: here, and here) we have gone 'camping' with a group of families. This annual event usually consists of the kids running wild, the grown-ups hanging out and chatting, and copious quantities of junk food being consumed.
This year we decided to change things up and headed to the Port Huron KOA. The trip started with the kids being SUPER excited about passing all the cars on the bridge courtesy of our Nexus pass: (here's the link)
Then the fun of having seven families and 22 (yes, I said TWENTY TWO!) children began. We had an awesome cabin with two sets of bunk beds, so each child got their own bed. Chris and I had a totally separate room with our own bed. It was fantastic!
The Freer's very kindly agreed to feed everyone a pancake breakfast - both mornings!:
Shannon, Brinly, Marin and Tatum - best buds hanging out:
Apparently something smelled!
Shannon begged me for this pink cow-girl hat (I didn't cave!):
Nothing says camping like a ride in the back of a pick-up truck!!
This picture cracks me up. Quinn started screaming his head off when he and Clark went under the waterfall. Then he got mad and tried to shoot anyone that got in his way!!
Uh oh - big brothers versus little brothers:
Apparently this is the world's largest inflateable waterslide:
The kids LOVED it!
Marin couldn't get enough of the bouncy pillow:
As we were leaving, more kids on the swing in front of our cabin!
Once we were home it was time to clean the truck!
We arrived home on Sunday tired, dirty but enormously happy. Until we saw the pile of laundry waiting for us that is!!
