Until now. As you remember, our van has been nothing but trouble since the get go. (see here, here, here, and .... well, you get the idea!) Specifically, one of the biggest problems has been that our power doors have never worked properly. You can imagine how frustrating that would be when you have your hands full of groceries, kids, kids crap, etc. and you try to open the doors only to have them mock you by starting to open, then stop, then beep at you (I swear the beeping was the van's way of laughing in my face!)
It was to the point where the kids were so used to the doors not opening that I'd often hear: "Mooooommmmm..... the doors didn't open... again."
Well, about two months ago our local service department diagnosed the problem as a faulty actuator motor (there - don't I sound like a true auto expert when I use those big words?!?!). That's when Chris lost it because he's been telling them that problem has been with the motor since the get go. But, we're not going to focus on that because as they say: by-gones.
They took the van in for a full day of service so they could take the doors off and replace the motors (at no cost to us because of me going "All Tara" on them). And do you know what?
The doors. Actually. Work.
I kid you not! In the two months since this work was done the doors have worked EVERY TIME. So I am delighted, no - thrilled, no - ELATED that our doors now work... like they were supposed to work from the very beginning.
I have to give credit to Eric and his team at Honda for putting up with me, the crazy-lady from hell, and finally fixing our doors! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
