You may vaguely remember that last summer we met up with Chris' sister and her family at Michigan's Adventure. I was a little hesitant to repeat this trip, because I was worried that this year's visit wouldn't live up to the fabulousness of last year's trip.
Well, I didn't have to worry - this year was even better! The weather was perfect: 24 -27 degrees with zero humidity. The park wasn't full at all, which meant little to no wait time for the rides (in fact Robert and Aidan took great pride in counting the number of times they could run from one ride to the next without waiting)
Here we are (minus Heidi who's behind the camera) getting ready to hit the park:
This picture cracks me up! Wouldn't you love to know what they were thinking?!?
Oh yes we did, we forked over the money and played those cheesy side-show games. And you know what? The kids loved those 30 seconds! AND we got a stuffed Pokemon, a smurf, and an Angry Bird pig out of it! (Best $18 we ever spent!! Oye vey)
Self portrait of Shannon and I before I took her on her first roller coaster:
This picture kills me. The girls were ride MANIACS this year! They loved the rides, and especially the mini-roller coasters they could go on. And yes, they quickly figured out that 'hands-up' is a must for all rides! Here's Marin:
Quinn loved that Aidan was actually TOO TALL for this ride. Yep - perfect for the younger brother!
But alas, Quinn still has about .75inches to go before he hits 48 inches, which is the critical threshold for most of the big ride. Lucky for him Chris was happy to entertain him on other rides like the bumper boats:
Another picture that just makes me howl. Marin and Chris on the mini-coaster. You should know that this picture was taken right at the beginning of the ride as it pulled out of the station - gotta love my husband the ham!
