Welcome to my world kiddo....

Chris woke up this morning with a pounding headache, which left him completely incapacitated and stuck in bed.

This meant that I was in charge of getting the little monkeys up and running.  Normally not a problem, except that today we needed to be out of the house by 8:30 so I could drop the girls off at gymnastics camp, and then take to boys to powerskating which is about 25 minutes away.

Again, normally not a problem except that there was laundry to be folded (because the kids needed the clothes in the dryer), a dishwasher to be unloaded (otherwise the breakfast dishes had nowhere to go), breakfasts to be made, children to be clothed, hair to be brushed and pulled back..... oye.  My head hurts just thinking about it!

Enter Mom's helper, aka Aidan.

I put him in charge of packing snacks for everyone.

"No problem Mom!" was his eager response.

Then he started.

First lemonade (appropriately diluted with water because that's how we roll here), and when that ran out, iced-tea for Marin.  Then granola bars, and then individual rice cakes.  Next came a banana for the boys, and watermelon for the girls.

As he was zipping up the last cooler, he said to me: "Mom, I hate packing lunches!"

Welcome to my world buddy.......
