Sneaky Snuggles

Now that the weather has (finally!) turned cold, we decided to put the plastic down and start the first layer of water in our backyard rink.  To do this we hook-up a hose to our laundry sink, snake it through our mudroom door and leave it in the rink. This means that our mudroom door is about 2 inches adjar due to the hose going outside.

Enter our new pal Snuggles.

She'd been hanging around while we were outside setting up the plastic, but skittered off once we dragged the hose out.  We got the water running, and I came inside while Chris stayed outside with the kids.

Next thing I know I hear the kids and Chris laughing and yelling at me: "Tara! Mummy!  TA-RAAAAAAA" I turn around from inside the kitchen and Chris mouthed to me: "Snuggles is inside!".

I ran to the mudroom and sure enough that little stinker snuck her way inside the mudroom.  As soon as she saw me she took off out the door.

An hour or so later, everyone was inside.  The kids were upstairs and Chris and I were downstairs.  Suddenly I hear: "Uhhh.... Tara?  You'd better come here."

I walk into the mudroom and don't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Nothing until Chris pointed and said: "look at that."

Yep.  Our little Snuggles snuck into the mudroom, and made herself right at home on a mountain of coats and hats on our bench.  She looked quite cozy in there!

I picked her up and took her back outside.  When I put her down, she looked up at me with those big green eyes as if to say: "Awww  man, I was just getting comfy!!!"

Little stinker.

So is snuggles a neighbours cat?

Snuggles is a stray cat we've 'adopted'. She hangs around our house, we feed her and pet her. But she's not allowed in the house. Yet.... ;-)
