Well slap yourself silly and call me Wonder Woman because you're NOT going to believe this.......
Quinn's front teeth have been wiggly for about a month or so. Nothing too crazy, just loose. A couple of Saturdays ago he just decided to wiggle it. And wiggle it. All of a sudden on the ride home from London I hear: "MUMMY!!! My tooth just came out!!"
That little sucker wiggled that puppy right out.
Well a couple of days went by and his poor other tooth was just hanging there - a snaggly and nasty looking. I picked Quinn up from school and the first thing I see his him wiggling the crap out of this tooth. He worked and worked and worked on this tooth for at least three hours after school.
Now let me be clear.... I HATE loose teeth. In fact I LOATH them. Any time a kid excitedly shows me their snaggly, gnarly, wiggly teeth I vomit just a little bit in my mouth. So you can imagine how skin-crawlingly gross it was to see Quinn just wiggling away on this tooth.
But he was determined that his other big tooth was going to come out.
Finally Chris said: "Quinner, if you really want that tooth out, I'll pull it out. Just go get me a tissue."
"OK" said Quinn, and off he went for the tissue.
Chris gave that sucker a tug. Nothing.
I was sure Quinn was going to loose it.
Nope. He just stood there with his mouth open.
"Want me to try again?" Asked an incredulous Chris.
"Na uh" Quinn garbled back.
Chris gave it a second tug..... and out popped that tooth!
Just goes to show that kids can surprise you.... and then when Quinn puts his mind to something, watch out - he's going to get it done!!!
And here he is.... toothless Quinn! |
