Splashing Family Day away

This weekend is the (ahem) bogus long-holiday weekend in Ontario called Family Day.  Apparently we need the provincial government to tell us to spend time with our families, rather than doing it on our own.   Whatever.  A holiday in February is fine, but I'd much rather have a long weekend in June!

This year we decided to take off with a bunch of other families and hit a waterpark at the Best Western Sterling  We had a fantastic time - it's always a ton of fun when we hang out with other families, and the kids love it because they can play with their friends rather than with boring old mom and dad!

OK seriously - how cute is this picture?  Shannon had a blast splashing around the little kids pool, and Marin LOVED splashing around and crawling through the water:

Shannon was so tired on the way home she fell asleep while holding onto her cheeseburger:

No cheeseburger for Marin - she was too busy catching flies on the way home!

Post script:  You may be wondering why there are no pictures of Chris or I included.  Well, for the safety of everyone in the ether world, I chose to spare your eyes from the pasty-whiteness that is our skin right now!!!
